Firebase crash - (firebase.database.DatabaseException) error: Too many open database connections

I have a chat application which as of yesterday I removed the 20MB limit.

I use Firebase Database to store the messages.

The application works fine and the messages are shown correctly but after a few minutes I get the following crash

The app crashes after a few minutes, I can see the following error log

I use firebase-admin version 6.0.1

I am using an emulator with 4GB RAM and Nexus 5x Google Play Edition device

This issue was solved by increasing the RAM size for my emulator to 8GB.
