Chapter 12: The Dark God is another short chapter, though this one follows a more linear path than the last. The chapter starts out with a cutscene where a young girl named Chizuko is crying, saying that the villagers have all been killed. Butch and Kuma come by at this time. You fight them, and the two attack you with their weapons. After one of them is downed, he or she (maybe Chizuko) runs away, and eventually gets killed while Chizuko is captured. Butch and Kuma leave the area, and you eventually reach Chizuko's house, where you can find that she is dead.
Chapter 13: Chizuko's Words is a short chapter with a story bit that precedes any gameplay. At the start of the chapter you are at a place called the Kyobashi river bank. There you are introduced to a young woman named Chizuko. She comes running up at Konuma and Butch when you pass by. She says that she'll be your messenger. She asks some questions about how you got into this situation. When you get an opportunity to question Kouma, she says that Chizuko has been imprisoned by the Jungo people. She also tells you that the village near here is empty, which suggests that the Jungo have come to the village she's talking about. There are options N, S, W, and E for dialog, and the "north", "south", "west", and "east" directions. I'd say that N is to move forward, W is to move backwards, and S goes south and so on.
Chapter 13: Konuma's Message is a fun chapter that is almost entirely about having fun. You start off in the town of Kichijo. Go through the empty houses and walk around on the main street. Konuma will eventually appear, asking you to be her emissary. You can accept the offer, and a cutscene will execute. While Konuma is talking, a reward cutscene will play, with Knife #16 lying on the ground. Grab it and head to the bridge by the river over there.
