Milomir Maric: Deca komunizma

Milomir Maric is a Serbian journalist, writer and TV host, who is best known for his controversial book Deca komunizma (Children of Communism), which exposes the dark side of the Yugoslav communist elite and their crimes, intrigues and secrets. The book was first published in 1987 and has been reprinted several times since then. It consists of two volumes: Magle sa Istoka (Mists from the East) and Ljudi novog doba (People of the New Age).

The book is based on Maric's extensive research, interviews and personal experiences, as well as on archival documents, memoirs and testimonies of various witnesses and participants of the Yugoslav communist movement. Maric reveals the hidden history of the communist leaders, such as Josip Broz Tito, Milovan Djilas, Aleksandar Rankovic, Edvard Kardelj, Svetozar Vukmanovic Tempo, Ivan Macek Matija, Mustafa Golubic and many others. He also exposes the role of the Soviet Union, Stalin and the Comintern in shaping the Yugoslav communist party and its policies.

The book is written in a provocative and sensationalist style, with vivid descriptions of violence, torture, betrayal, sex and corruption. Maric does not spare anyone from his criticism and sarcasm, and he challenges many myths and legends that were created by the official propaganda and historiography. He also reveals his own personal views and opinions on various political and social issues, such as nationalism, democracy, human rights, religion and culture.

The book caused a lot of controversy and reactions in Yugoslavia and abroad. It was banned by the authorities and denounced by many critics as anti-communist, anti-Yugoslav, anti-Serbian or anti-Croatian. However, it also gained a lot of popularity and acclaim among the readers who were interested in learning the truth about the communist regime and its leaders. The book was translated into several languages and influenced many other authors and researchers who followed Maric's example and explored the hidden aspects of Yugoslav history.

The book is available in PDF format online from various sources. One of them is [Knjizara.com], where you can download the first volume of the book for free. The second volume can be purchased from the same website for 52 euros. Another source is [Open Library], where you can borrow or read online both volumes of the book.
